Join author Will Cooper at Booktoberfest 2026, the annual literary festival hosted by the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia celebrating Nova Scotian authors, publishers, and the books they’ve brought into the world over the past year.
Will will be joining fellow authors and readers for a day dedicated to books, storytelling, and Nova Scotia’s vibrant literary community. Stop by to meet the author behind Lotus, the first book in The Lotus Trilogy, chat about the ideas and questions that inspired the series, and pick up a copy for your shelves.
Booktoberfest brings authors and readers together through its popular book market, traditionally featuring approximately 60 independently and traditionally published Nova Scotian authors alongside around 10 local publishers. The festival also features book sales and signings, free author readings, and creative writing workshops, making it a celebration for readers and writers alike.

Will Cooper is a Nova Scotian author, visual artist, and the author of Lotus, the first instalment in The Lotus Trilogy. His storytelling is shaped by a fascination with human consciousness, identity, freedom, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and where we may be headed.
Living in rural Nova Scotia with his wife and three children, where they operate a small farm animal sanctuary, Will divides his creative life between writing, visual art, family, and the natural world.
