📖 About the Event

Celebrate local stories and rediscover the joy of reading as Morrigan Ellis joins Indigo Kelowna for its Local Author Showcase on Sunday, September 13. Running from 11am–4pm PT, the showcase brings together authors from across the Okanagan for an afternoon of books, conversation, and community.

The event is part of Indigo’s September Anchor in Analogue campaign, a month-long initiative encouraging Canadians to unplug, reconnect, and rediscover the joy of reading and analogue experiences. Morrigan will be in-store on September 13, meeting readers and signing copies of her debut psychological horror novel, Repression.

Whether you’re looking to discover a new favourite read, hear more about the stories behind the books, or connect with the writers bringing them to life, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the incredible literary talent found right here in the Okanagan.

📚 Drop in, meet Morrigan and other local authors, browse some new reads, and leave with a signed copy of Repression… if you don’t mind taking a few chills home with you.

✨ About the Book

Repression tells the story of Nat, a woman returning to her hometown fifteen years after the tragic death of her brother. What begins as an attempt at closure spirals into a nightmare when she becomes entangled in a new act of violence and the chilling presence of a tormented teenage spirit. As Nat delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers disturbing truths about her past, blurring the line between the living and the dead. Filled with eerie atmospheres, emotional depth, and psychological tension, Repression explores what happens when buried secrets refuse to stay hidden and the ghosts within us demand to be heard.
